Presentation of the Letters of Credence to His Majesty the King of Cambodia

H. E. Ambassador Mr. Ganesh Prasad Dhakal presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia accrediting him as non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Kingdom of Cambodia amidst a special ceremony held at the Royal Palace, Phnom Penh today.

Following the ceremony, Ambassador Dhakal was granted an audience with His Majesty the King. During the audience, Ambassador conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes from the Rt. Hon’ble Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari, President of Nepal and Rt. Hon’ble Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister of Nepal as well as from the people of Nepal for personal good health and happiness of His Majesty the King, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Cambodia.

Ambassador said Nepal and Cambodia enjoy excellent bilateral relations, which have further strengthened by the exchange of high-level visits. Ambassador also stated that teaching of Gautam Buddha and philosophy of Buddhism are strong binding threads between the peoples of the two countries.

While welcoming the Ambassador, His Majesty the King extended his greetings and best wishes for the personal good health and happiness of the Rt. Hon’ble President, the Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister as well as for the prosperity of Nepali people.

His Majesty the King cherished Nepal as the birthplace of Lord Buddha. His Majesty the King also expressed his confidence that the friendly, cordial and cooperative relations between the two countries would be further strengthened in the days to come.

Senior government officials of the Royal Government of Cambodia were also present during the ceremony.

The Embassy of Nepal in the Kingdom of Thailand is concurrently accredited to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
