Promotional Programme in Pattaya

 

The Embassy of Nepal, Bangkok organized a Business/Tourism Promotion programme in Pattaya on 6 July 2018. The programme was organized under the theme of ‘Trekking in Nepal’. A large number of participants, including Thai Government Officials, business entrepreneurs, travel/tour operators, media persons and representatives from the Nepalese community in Pattaya participated in the programme.

Welcoming the participants, H. E. Ambassador Dr. Khaga Nath Adhilari spoke about the business/investment opportunities as well as the tourism attractions and trekking opportunities in Nepal.  H.E. the Ambassador called upon the participants to visit Nepal and explore the business opportunities there.

Counsellor Mr. Janga Bahadur Gurung made a presentation on ‘Business Opportunities in Nepal’. He gave a detailed presentation on various areas for foreign investment, and also mentioned the opportunities, facilities and attractions for investors.

First Secretary Mr. Ramesh Kumar Charmakar made a detailed presentation on ‘Trekking in Nepal’. In his presentation, he gave detailed description about trekking routes as well as practical matters such as trekking kit, budget, availability of time, procedure for permits, etc. He also urged the audience to visit Nepal for trekking to see the diverse natural & cultural attraction and to have a lifetime experience of the serenity of nature, breath-taking panoramic landscape, the Himalayas, green forests, waterfalls & lakes.

Nepali cultural performances were also presented during the programme. The performances were coordinated by Non-resident Nepali Association and Thai Nepali Association, Pattaya Branch.

The Embassy especially focused on promoting Nepal’s trekking. The programme is believed to have contributed to giving added publicity about Nepal and thereby promoting Nepal’s business, investment, tourism, and trekking.
