Press Release: Tourism Road Show in Singapore

 

The Embassy of Nepal, Bangkok, Hon. Consulate General of Nepal in Singapore, and Nepal Tourism Board jointly organized a Tourism Roadshow in Singapore on 23 September 2018. The whole-day show was organized within the precincts of a busy metro station of 1 Raffles Link. Hundreds of visitors attended, and viewed, the interesting programmes, which included Nepali cultural performances, Nepal Quiz, slide shows, presentations, lucky draws, etc.

Nepali Society in Singapore actively and substantially coordinated and contributed to the programme.

Hon. Consul General of Nepal, Mr. Madhusudan M. Patel, welcomed the guests, and encouraged participants to visit Nepal. H. E. Dr. Khaga Nath Adhikari, Ambassador of Nepal to Singapore, spoke about the beauty of Nepal and its tourism attractions, and encouraged the audience to visit Nepal from time to time. He also talked about the activities held in Singapore for the promotion of trade, tourism and investment between Nepal and Singapore. H. E. Mr Jawed Ashraf, High Commissioner of India to Singapore, shared his memorable experiences in Nepal and called upon the audience to visit, and also encourage their friends to visit, Nepal. Mr. Aditya Baral, Senior Director of Nepal Tourism Board, spoke about natural and cultural beauty of Nepal, and encouraged the participants to visit Nepal. Nepal Tourism Board also distributed promotional materials, including goodie bags, diaries and T-shirts, among the participants.

Many other side activities were also organized alongside the programme. Such activities aimed at promoting Nepal and the Nepali people.

The programme is believed to have greatly contributed to give Nepal a greater publicity, which would promote Nepal’s tourism.
